Skill Development & Capacity Building
Building skills and capacity is the pathway to greater independence. Our skill development programs are designed to help you learn, grow, and achieve your personal goals — at your own pace and in your own way.
Capacity Building Under the NDIS
Capacity Building supports are designed to help you build your independence and skills over time. Unlike Core Supports which address your day-to-day needs, Capacity Building investments focus on your long-term development and growth. At Ubuntu Support Services, we offer a range of skill development programs that align with NDIS Capacity Building categories, including daily living skills, social skills, employment readiness, health and wellbeing, and life transitions.
Our Skill Development Programs
We take a strengths-based approach to skill development, focusing on what you can do and building from there. Our programs are delivered one-on-one or in small groups, depending on your preferences and goals. Key areas include cooking and meal planning, budgeting and money management, personal hygiene and self-care routines, communication and social skills, technology and digital literacy, employment preparation and job readiness, and health and fitness management. Every program is tailored to your individual goals and delivered at a pace that works for you.
Measuring Progress and Celebrating Success
We believe in celebrating every achievement, no matter how small it may seem. Our team works with you to set clear, measurable goals and tracks your progress through regular reviews. We use a combination of formal assessments and informal check-ins to ensure you are on track and feeling supported. When you reach a milestone, we celebrate it together — because in the Ubuntu spirit, your success is our success.
